Madelyn M. Bavis, 101, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away at home on Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was married to her husband, John J. Bavis for 47 years. Madelyn was born in Boston, March 22, 1916, to Gianina and Carmine Pagliocco. Madelyn is survived by her children, John and wife Susan Bavis, Madelyn and husband Thomas Prendergast, Janet and husband John Kelleher, Kathleen and husband Edward Simmons, Rosemary and husband Howard Sutherland, Michelle and husband Edward Welch, Donna Golden and Michael Bavis. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren with one on the way in September. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Bavis, son, Robert C. Bavis, brothers, John Pagliocco and James Pagliocco, and sister, Rose Spacone. Madelyn will be lovingly remembered and missed by all. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 15, at 9 a.m., St. Marys Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan.
