GEORGE CAMPBELL DIES
SUNDAY, RITES WEDNESDAY
George Henry Campbell, 83, 313 Sixth Ave. E., died in Kalispell Sunday. He was born July 14, 1889, at Westminster West, Vt., a son of Charles Henry and Mary Campbell. When he was 2 years old, he moved with his family to Great Falls where he attended schools. He then attended Yale University where he graduated in 1910 with highest honors.
During World War I, Mr. Campbell was a member of the famed Lafayette Escadrille, and had served two years in France. He then returned to Great Falls and was associated with C. H. Campbell & Son Land Management. In 1927 he married Alicia Conrad at Helena. The couple had lived at Great Falls until 1933 when they moved to Kalispell where they have resided since.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Episcopal Church and the Daedalion Society. He is survived by his widow, at home; one son, Lt. Col. Charles Conrad Campbell, Albrook AFB, Panama Canal Zone; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Alicia) Vick, Missoula; two grandsons, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Church (Episcopal) with the Rev. Father Thomas Best officiating. Interment will be in Conrad Memorial Cemetery. The family suggest memorials to Christ Church (Episcopal).
