He was born on February 20, 1956 in Newport to Felix Sr. and Ivah (Legacy) Chaput.
On August 2, 1975 he married Debora Keement who survives her.
Francis was a dairy farmer for Chaput Family Farms for 37 years.
Among his hobbies, he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Debora Chaput of Newport Center, VT, by his children: Matthew Chaput of North Troy, VT, Amanda Chaput and her fiance Robin Barrup of Newport Center, VT, Thomas Chaput of CA, Christina Coburn and her husband Alan of Newport and Lisa Labounty and her husband David of Holland, VT.
