She was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Peoria, to Joseph and Elsie (Martin) Fehr. She married Roderick Rosecrans on May 6, 1961 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1974. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dale; one brother, Edwin "Bud" Fehr and one sister, Ruth Finley.
Surviving are her son, Glenn (Angel) Rosecrans of Danvers, Ill.; four grandchildren, Sarah (Jana Behm) Rosecrans of Bartonville, Kenneth (Kaitlyn) Rosecrans of Peoria Heights, Beth (Seth) Stufflebeam of Bartonville, and Kim Rosecrans of Peoria, two great grandchildren, Deryk Rosecrans and Hunter Stufflebeam; one brother, Mark (Nancy) Fehr of Metamora; and five sisters, Doris (Robert) Baer of Tremont, Nancy (Gary) Schmidgall of Morton, Phyllis (Marshall) Holmes of Morton, Betty Jordan of Deer Creek and Barbara (Larry) Reinbeck of Tremont.
Madalyn was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where she sang in the choir and was also employed by the church. She was also a member of the Royal Servants in Peoria.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18 from from 5 to 7 p.m. and an hour prior to the service on Wednesday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
