Mildred Mae Bjornson, 97, of Davis Junction, Illinois, went home to be with her Lord Friday, July 29, 2011, in her home surrounded by her family. Born January 28, 1914, in a one room log cabin in Sand Creek, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Beebe) Martin.

Mildred married Glenn Wisdom who passed away serving in World War II. She took over the family business, a bait and tackle shop, where she met her second husband, Berger Bjornson, who predeceased her in 1999. They resided in Rockford for many years.

Mildred was a thirty-five year member of Pelley Road Christian Fellowship. She also taught Sunday school for 15 years. Mildred enjoyed painting and playing the organ.

She is survived by: daughter, Diana (Jason) Bandy; granddaughters, Meagan Mae Danielle Bandy, Susan Que, Monique (Christopher) Huffman; great-granddaughters, Samantha and Courtney Henderson; sisters, Margarite (Kjell) Lusth, Emogene Howlett, and Caroline Ostrander; and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by: parents; husbands; and many brothers and sisters.

Funeral service on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, in Olson Funeral Home. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park.
