Jean Theresa Johnson
of Big Bear Lake, 71 years, passed away on Dec. 14, 2006, at her home in Big Bear Lake. Jeanie was born on March 17, 1935, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Elizabeth and Constantine Belletich. Jeanie met Dave Johnson in East Los Angeles and they were married on Nov. 12, 1950, in Yuma, Ariz. Dave and Jeanie raised five children, two boys, David, Jr. of Pahrump, Nev., Robert who preceded her in death; and three girls, Phyllis Lew of Laverne, Calif., Susan Payne of Big Bear Lake, and Joni Haatvedt of Erwin Lake. They had seven grand-children. Sally, Brandy, who preceded her in death, Matthew, Scott, Eric, Christopher, and Samantha, three great-grandchildren, Melissa, Cole, and Naomi. Jeanie was a Licensed Vocational Nurse, working at Beverly Hospital in Monte-bello, Whittier Community, and La Habra Community. She was hired for opening day at Big Bear Community Hospital in July of 1974. She especially liked to work in the nursery and emergency room. She also worked for several doctors at Dr. Jackson's clinic. She had enjoyed membership in the Big Bear Lake Emblem Club #191, the Woman's Club of Big Bear Lake, the Hospital Auxiliary, and the Elks Ladies of Elks Lodge #1787. Following cremation, private services were held in the family home in Big Bear Lake.
