"Resolutions of Respect and Condolence Passed by Local Odd Fellows:
At the meeting of Sioux Falls Lodge No. 9 I.O.O.F, last evening, the following resolutions were passed:
In perpetuation of the memory of our beloved brother, Henry Truxes, who died at Ft. White, Fla. on the 21st day of October 1895, be it
Resolved by Sioux Falls Lodge, No. 9 I.O.O.F, that in the death of brother Truxes we have sustained the loss of an active warm-hearted brother and friend; that while loyally submitting to the omnipotent decree o'shadowing us all, we would express our conviction that Brother Truxes has but proceeded us to that sovereign grand lodge on high, toward which all our ways tend: and that there is but one more tie binding us together and reaching out to the great beyond. Be it further
Resolved: that our lodge charter be suitable draped in black for a period of thirty days; that these resolutions be published in our city press and an engrossed copy of the same be given the family of our deceased brother, and that they be spread upon the records of this lodge.
