She was a vibrant part of her community, church and family. She worked for the Newport News school system as a bus aide alongside her husband, James McGinnis for 17 years. Diana leaves behind her husband James of 50 years; her daughters, Amy (Billy) Slaten, Kathleen (Jeff) Maynard, Amanda (Pieter) Blanksma; her grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Mark, and John Slaten, Hannah and Noah Maynard, and Olivia Blanksma; her great grandchildren, Avalynn and Arieonna Slaten. She believed in giving to those in need and had a charitable heart.
