SAN SABA -- Services for Jeanette French Askey, 85, of San Saba, will be held at 2 p.m. today, July 21, at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in High Valley Cemetery in San Saba County.
Mrs. Askey died Monday, July 19, 2004, in Dallas.
She was born in Hico on June 2, 1919, to Roy French and Gracie Purdom French. She married Jess R. Askey in Hico on June 2, 1940.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Lehrer of Dallas; her granddaughter; two sisters-in-law, Frances Young of Austin and Margaret French of Cleburne; and several nieces and nephews.
