Funeral services will be held at Scoggins Funeral Home on Saturday, July 22, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Robert was born to Robert Waldon Cameron Sr. and Anna Mae Brown Cameron in Swiss, West Virginia.
Bob graduated from John Adams High School in Cleveland Ohio. He served six years in the U.S. Army Reserves where he was a sharpshooter. Later in his career, he was employed at Kilpatrick Life Insurance and retired in 2005.
On September 14, 1978, he married the love of his life, Pamela Joyce Lay in Van Alstyne, Texas.
Bob showed interest in Southern Gospel Music at a early age and began singing with his parents as a tenor. As his voice began to change, he developed a unique bass voice. Bob sang with many gospel groups over the years, with the latest being Chordsmith which he organized and named. Bob also loved his family with all his heart and put their needs before his.
