Rufus Grady Blount, 81, passed away at Washington County Hospital on July 20, 2017. He was a member of McIntosh United Methodist Church. Rufus served in The United States Navy, on the USS INTREPID. He worked as a supervisor at Old Geigy for over 36 years and then worked at Olin as a security guard for a short while.  Rufus and his wife Deloris, were married over 61 years and were best friends. He and his jack russell, "BABY GIRL", would go every morning and evening to the river for her to run squirrels. Rufus was an avid fisherman catching white perch and giving them away. He loved his family very much and they loved him.

Survived by Wife of 61 years, two Daughters, three Grandchildren, one Great Grandchild, brother, and sister.
