George McCanch, 80, of George Street, Carmichaels, died at 8 pm Tuesday, September 29, 1964, in the Torrance State Hospital. He was born November 1, 1884 in Wishaw, Scotland. He was a retired miner and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Scotland. His wife, Cecilia McCanch died in 1962. He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Leona Ammann of Warrendale; Mary Ann Bentz of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Margaret Alderman of Hollywood, Calif, and Christina Funk. Also surviving are two step-sons; Albert and Clarence Funk, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 2, 1964, with burial in the Highland Cemetery, Davistown.
