Mr. Keeton, son of H. Guy and Hallie (Beck) Keeton, was born in Monett. He was a 1965 graduate of Monett High School. Mr. Keeton joined the United States Air Force on May 21, 1965, and was promoted to Master Sergeant in 1987; he served his country proudly until his retirement on September 1, 1990. He looked forward to his morning coffee routine where he would catch up on the latest at local coffee shops. Mr. Keeton enjoyed gambling and loved spending time with family and friends. He attended John's Chapel in Ash Grove.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Keeton, of Monett; son Donald "Gene" Keeton, of Monett; daughter Rachael Darter, of Monett; step-son Michael Mooney w/wife Marge, of Springfield; step-daughters Lisa Earring, of Paola, Kansas, and Laurie Blanco, of Ottawa, Kansas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Aldridge w/husband Lanny, of Cassville, and Judy Morris w/husband Lones, of Benton, Louisiana; plus several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by brothers James Keeton and Clarence R. Keeton; and sisters Maurine Hash and Marilyn Drollinger.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Funeral services will held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastor Ron Fieker officiating; burial with full military honors to follow at Sparks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25th, at the funeral home.
