Bettine (Tine) Moore Close, a beloved member of the Big Piney community, wife of Dr. Bill (Doc) Close (deceased), passed away peacefully in her sleep at 1:45 AM on February 23, 2015, at her home in Big Piney, Wyoming, after a protracted illness.
She is greatly missed by her five children: Tina Close of Wilson, WY; Glenn Close of Westchester County, NY; Jessie Close of McAllister, MT; Alexander (Sandy)and wife Deb Close of Belgrade, MT; Tambu Kisoki of Sacramento, CA; her nine grandchildren; and great-granddaughter.
She will also be greatly missed by her long-time companions: Barb (Heath and Cori) Anderson and Angie (Ron, Russell and Tasha) Stevens, both of Big Piney, who have been with her eighteen and seventeen years respectively.
Tine loved Wyoming: the mountains, wildlife, clouds, sunsets and the open-hearted people. She supported the Big Piney Library, the County Fair Grounds and the Community Home Care program.
She quietly helped those in need and will be always remembered and adored for how brilliantly she taught kids and their dogs in 4-H obedience classes—taking them to the State Fair on several occasions.
A gathering to celebrate Bettine will take place on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 AM at the Marbleton Senior Center. Refreshments to follow.
