Minnie Alvina Worden was the daughter of Charles H. Worden and Dorothy Christine {Pearson} Worden. Dorothy (or Doretha) came to the U.S. in 1852 from Norway. They also had a son, Charles Dressler Worden, who married Inez Willoughby. They had a daughter Pauline Christine Worden, who became the wife of Nathan George Lapham.

Minnie Alvina Worden married first the much older Francis Day on 28 September 1903. He died in 1919. She married Charles Willis Curtis on 5 September 1929.
