Mr. Silas S. Roberts sadly passed away on July 6 1893 at his home in Tyngsboro with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Mary W. (Warley) Roberts of Tyngsboro.
Silas was born in 1822 in Plymstock, England, the son of the late James and Rebecca (Wilmott) who both remained in England. Silas came to this country with his wife and most of his children, with one of his sons being born in this country. Mr. Roberts was a stone cutter in the area, and was also employed as a ston cutter in many quarries in England.
Silas was the father of four daughters Mrs. Matilda (Roberts) Trubey of Tyngsboro, Lavinia (Roberts) Potter of Tyngsboro, Ms. Elizabeth Roberts of Tyngsboro, and Mrs. Annie (Roberts) Buntel of Tyngsboro, also he leaves three sons, Mr. Thomas Roberts of Chelmsford, Mr. John Roberts of Tyngsboro, and Mr. Silas J. Roberts of Tyngsboro.
He was also the brother of Mary Roberts of Plympton England, James Roberts of Plymstock England, Elizabeth (Roberts) Collins of Gillingham England, William Roberts of Plymstock England, Benjamin Roberts of Plymstock England, Joseph Roberts of Wembury England, and Harriet Roberts of Plymstock England.
