*Harris and I managed to stay in touch after graduation. It was awesome seeing him determined to beat liver disease and have a good life. In his short life he accomplished an awful lot. Harris never gave up or complained even when things got really tough. The way in which he handled his illness has given me strength to deal with my problems. It's a comfort knowing that my friend is finally at peace. I'll always be grateful that him and I were buddies.
*Six months after Harris passed away his mother died. His father died in September 2011.
*Now the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth.
