Mary Sue Haigler, 86, widow of Eldon V. "Sonny" Haigler, Jr., of Cameron, SC, passed away, Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at her residence. Mary Sue was born in Orangeburg County, to the late Wallace Hampton Shuler and the late Hattie Lee Evans Shuler. She graduated from Providence High School and Columbia Commercial College. She was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church where she served as president of the Women of the ELCA, past chairman of the Altar Guild and Sunday School teacher. Mary Sue was a member of the Camellia Garden Club and IPTAY for many years.
Survivors include her two sons: Bayne Haigler and Wally Haigler (Hope) all of Cameron; two grandchildren: Elly Haigler and Izabel Haigler; brother: Larry Shuler of Santee, SC; brother-in-law: Joe C. Haigler (Elaine) of Cameron; sister-in-law: Betty Jean Keisler (Lavaughn) of Cayce; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Sue was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Shuler.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, Cameron, SC, with the Reverend Eric Little officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Cameron, SC. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Frank Keisler, Kerry Keisler, Bill Spiers, Michael Spiers, Chuck McKeowen, Jonathan McLellan, Rusty Bair and Dennis Haigler. The family will receive friends at the home.
