Leesville - Services for Gloria B. Taylor, 51, of Perry Taylor Road, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church of Gilbert, with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Ralph Stillwell and Frank Mims will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Donald Bodie, Stanley Bodie, Randy Cockrell, Travis Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Gerald Taylor and Carl Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be the church council. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Charles R. Shealy and Son Funeral Home of Batesburg-Leesville. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund, 326 Church St., Gilbert 29054. Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998. Born in Ward, she was a daughter of Rosa Mae Duffie Bodie and the late Jacob Charles Bodie. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was retired from J. B. Martin Co. Surviving are husband, James P. Taylor of Leesville; daughter, Mrs. Reginald (Karen) Ward of West Columbia; mother of Monetta; sister, Mrs. Billy (Carolyn) Cockrell of Monetta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Sandra Bodie of Monetta, William and Sandra Bodie of Smyrna, Ga., and Charles Wayne Bodie of Leesville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Imon and Emmie Shealy of Leesville; grandchild; Syndee Peri Ward, West Columbia, who was her pride and joy; and step-grandchild, Kara Cherie Ward of The Woodlands, Texas. © The State, Columbia, SC. 20 Sep 1998
