Connie S. Carroll-Spurgeon, 67, of Davenport, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at home.
Services are {time and date} at Metropolitan Community Church of Christ, Davenport. Cremation will be at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.
The former Connie Sue Spurgeon was bron October 7, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Clinton and Betty (Moulton) Spurgeon. She married Pat Carroll on May 21, 2009, in Davenport. She was a bus monitor for Johannes Bus Services for many years.
Connie is survived by her wife, Pat Spurgeon-Carroll; three daughters, Marilea (Shawn) Twyman of Burlington, Iowa, Cinnamon (Terri) Ague, and Renee (Paul) Lee of Avondale, Arizona; grandchildren, Hannah Myers, Nichole (Byron) Pringle, Hillary Ague, and Elizabeth, Jayden, and Jaxson Lee; great-grandchildren, Kinnick “Hawkeye” Pringle, and Broderick, Aneyand, and Gracelynn Lee; and a sister, Beverly Murphy of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Connie and I became friends at dialysis where I have been going for about a year now. She was a sweetheart to everyone and had a great sense of humor and would make those of us who could hear her, laugh. She made the time there laying in uncomfortable recliners, enjoying, and took our minds off of the tubes and holding still. It has been hard the last two times I had dialysis and you weren't there and when I asked about you Friday, I was told you passed away. To see other people in your chair was upsetting. Rest now Connie in the arms of our heavenly father. And when you can, have fun and enjoy heaven. We will meet again there I am sure. Love you girl.
