A memorial service is planned for Ada Louise Ulery, 84, Bedford, Texas, who died Wednesday, August 8, 2005.
Ulery was born Aug. 14, 1910 in Erie, Kansas to Ralph A. and Arca Butler.
She graduated from Erie High School in 1928 and continued her education at Pittsburg State Teachers College, Pittsburg, KS, and the University of Colorado at Boulder, CO.
She taught grades one through eight in a rural one-room schoolhouse, and then at the elementary school in Erie, KS.
In 1940 she married Henry Clayton Ulery and moved to Pensacola, FL. They moved back to Texas in 1961.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be Oct. 14, 2006 in East Hill Cemetery, Erie, Kansas.
