Mrs. CYNTHIA (McINTOSH) DEAN was the daughter of Josiah Joseph "Joe" McIntosh.

She was the wife of George Dean Sr. whom she married on December 9, 1869 in Marion County, Texas.

Several children were born to their union including Augustus Dean, Belle Dean, Georgia Dean, Samuel Dean, Margaret Dean, Dessie Dean, Thomas "Tommie" Dean, Sallie Dean, Lovina Dean and George Dean Jr.

Her husband preceded her in death before the summer of 1900.

Mrs. CYNTHIA (McINTOSH) DEAN was laid to rest on August 23, 1926 on the grounds of Lewis Chapel Cemetery in Lodi, Texas.

Her daughter, Mrs. Sallie Dean Jones, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, was the informant on the death certificate.

W.S.H. Pryor, of Jefferson, Texas, was the undertaker who managed the burial arrangements.

Note: Mrs. Dean was reflected in the 1880 census as the 39-year-old wife who was living in the home with her husband, George, and their five young children. Therefore, a more accurate birth year of 1841 is reflected in this memorial. Further, she was reflected as widowed at the time of the 1900 census.
