He was born September 13, 1928 in Paulding a son of the late Charles and Norma (Burkley) Copsey.
Although Paul was a tow motor operator at General Motors and a reserve Sheriff deputy, he was most content at Copsey Stables, raising horses. He was a member of the Paulding VFW and Eagles and the Harness Horsemen Association.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Shirley Bowers and Judy Davis of Paulding, Paulette (Dan) Dangler of Aspen, CO and Paul, Jr. "Buck" Copsey of Ashford, WA; sister, Gladys Utterbach of Payne; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wives, Mary Ellen (Williams) and Louise (Sinn); brothers, Pete and Bill Copsey; grandson, Travis Davis and son-in-law, Tim Bowers.
The funeral service will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 10 am at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne with viewing one hour prior.
Viewing is also Friday 5-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery.
