Wanda Sue Hurt Aliff, age 76 of Beckley, WV passed away at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on Monday July 31, 2017.

Born on April 26, 1941 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late William Hurt Jr. and Lillian Hester Hutchinson Hurt.

Mrs. Aliff was a former medical transcriptionist for the local hospital and various doctor offices in the Beckley area.

She was a member of Calloway Heights Baptist Church, and had lived in Beckley all of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aliff was preceded in death by her son, Paul Lewis Aliff, and was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 56 years, John Aliff; a daughter, Liane Hurt Aliff of Charlotte, NC; a grandson, Derrick Charles Farruggia of Charlottte, NC; two great grandchildren, Audree Raine and Autumn Skye Farruggia of Vero Beach, Florida, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the life of Wanda Hurt Aliff on Friday August 4, 2017 at 1:30 PM at the Calloway Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Parker and Pastor Bill Horton officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 8 PM on Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
