BEATRICE A. MANN, 81, formerly of Lenox Court, a cook for the Elmer MacDowell family for 16 years before retiring in 1976, died Friday at the Allen Nursing Home in West Kingston. She was the widow of Robert J. Mann.
Born in North Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Fritz and Edna (Lillibridge) Algren.
Mrs. Mann was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wickford. She was a member of the North Kingstown Senior Association, and a former member of the Ready Helpers of the First Baptist Church of North Kingstown. She was previously a cook for the North Kingstown School Department for many years.
She is survived by three sons, a brother, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leroy and Charles Algren.
