Mary was united in marriage to Clarence Emery on May 3, 1947 in California. She worked for the Department of Agriculture for 23 years and retired in 1986. She later worked a Silver Dollar City as a cashier for 7 years. Mary was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of the Cove in Kimberling City, MO. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and needle work.
Survivors include husband, Clarence Emery of Independence, MO; daughter, Vicki Cobb (Robert) of Grain Valley, MO; granddaughter, Jennifer Weidner (Steve) of Trumansburg, NY; grandson, Chris Cobb of Kansas City, MO; great-granddaughter, Remi Cobb of Kansas City, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Frances Rouse; sisters, Dotty Whalen, and Pat Norman.
The family will receive friends from 12-12:30 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO. Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m., at the chapel. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
