John A. Menard, a lifelong resident of Cohoes conducted a restaurant for a number of years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Cohoes Lodge of Elks and Cohoes Aerie of Eagles. The survivors include his wife; a son George Menard of Philadelphia; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Jennings, Mrs. John Thibodeau , Mrs. Alexander LaPorte, Miss Agnes Menard all of Cohoes; three brothers: Joseph and Augustus Menard of Cohoes and Napoleon Menard of Providence, R.I.
