"Sweet Baby Kirsten"
6/9/91 ~ 2/12/07

Kirsten Elizabeth Hinckley, age 15 passed away February 12, 2007 at Trolley Square in Salt Lake City. She was born June 9, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carolyn Tuft and Stephen Hinckley. She was a sophomore at Brighton High School. Our Kirsten was passionate, talented, had a zest for life and was above all, kind and loving. When she liked something or someone, she didn't just like it, she loved it. This was something her friends and family knew well. She was the most loyal friend you could ever ask for, putting friends before all else. She was the person you went to when you needed to talk, she was so trustworthy. Even though she was shy at first, when she came out of her shell, she brightened everything. Her smile and laugh really were contagious. She had the ability to make everyone laugh and to make every moment positive no matter what the situation was. Her cure for everything was "chocolate therapy." Kirsten set high standards for herself. She was a great student and was planning to attend Bartlett College in England. There is no doubt in anyone's mind she would have reached that goal if she had been allowed to stay with us. She is still the light of her family's life. They feel she is the most tender, kindhearted person they have ever known, the most loving daughter, sister, friend that anyone could have. We will dearly miss her presence and the light she brought to our lives. Beautiful, sweet baby Kirsten, we love you "forever and always."

She is survived by her parents, Carolyn Tuft and Stephen Hinckley; siblings, Parker (23), Scott (20), and Kaitlin (18); grandparents, Audrey and Grant Tuft, and Jean and Michael Hinckley; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday March 7, 2007 at the Butler Stake Center, 7035 Nutree Drive (3000 East). A viewing will be held Tuesday March 6, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. both at the stake center. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
