Mrs. Mary Dennie, age 74, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Virgil Brown, Crab Orchard Route 1, following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Dennie moved to Kentucky from Tennessee 49 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church in Tennessee. Her first husband, Mr. John Wesley Adkins died several years ago.
She is survived by her second husband, George Dennie; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Brown and Mrs. Lillie Mae Adams, both of Crab Orchard Route 1; two sons, B.C. Adkins, Blue Ash, Ohio, and M.D. Adkins, Cincinnati; three step daughters, Mrs. Jewell Weaver and Mrs. Beatrice Bell, both of Cincinnati, and Miss Viola Dennie, Crab Orchard; 33 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Liberty Baptist Church with Mr. Charles Brown officiating. Burial was at the Liberty Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Homer Smith, Clifford Adkins, Arnold Brown, Jess Weaver, D. Alexander and Vernal Brown.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Beazley and Raney Funeral Home.
