NORMA M. MILLER, 70, of 6200 Post Rd., secretary to the chairman of the English Department at the University of Rhode Island for six years before retiring in 1989, died Friday at South County Hospital. She was the widow of Charles E. Miller. She was also the widow of Harry E. Parker.
Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Oscar and Margaret (Murphy) Joubert, she lived in East Greenwich before moving to North Kingstown in 1973.
Mrs. Miller was a secretary for the former Quonset Point Naval Reworks Facility, North Kingstown, from 1963-73. She was a member of Fleet Reserve Unit 42, and the North Kingstown Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three daughters, a sister, and five grandchildren.
