A lifelong resident of Auburn, he is the son of the late Stanley R. Pelc and Betty Peacock Pelc.
Terry attended St. Alphonsus Elementary and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. He continued his education at Auburn Community College and then Yale school of inhalation Therapy in New Haven CT. Upon graduation he became a Respiratory Therapist at Auburn Memorial Hospital and remained in that position for over 30 years, retiring in 1999.
Outside of his professional obligations he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and engaging in photography, coin collecting, classic cars and reading about his favorite topics in history.
Married to his wife Beverly Barnett Pelc for 37 years, Terry cherished the time spent with her. He respected and was very proud of her accomplishments as a wife and mother.
Terry is survived by his sister Sue Pelc and his children Timothy Pelc, Kathryn (Pelc) Galluzzo and her husband Christopher along with his first grandchild CJ. Also surviving is his aunt and godmother Josephine Bishop, his aunts and uncles Mary Desantis of Middletown, NY, John and Geri Pelc, Margie Zelehowsky and Ronald Peacock.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Beverly and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend Terry’s Mass of Christian burial on Monday July 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church. Terry will be buried with his wife and parents at St. Joseph’s cemetery. Calling hours for Terry will be on Sunday July 30, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. in the Heieck – Pelc Funeral Home, LLC 42 E.Genesee St, Auburn.
