ZANESVILLE: Jean Claire Moe Abel, 90, of Zanesville, died at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Clay Gardens Place.
She was born December 29, 1924, in Sherman, Wi., a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Mina C. Lein Moe.
She attended St. Luke's Lutheran Church, loved her dogs and enjoyed being a mother.
Surviving are four sons, Warren (Becky) Abele of Dresden, Mike (Susan) Abele of Nashport, Jack (Pat) Abele of Blacklick and Lester (Tammy) Abele of Zanesville; a daughter Pat (Dean) Harper of Zanesville; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Dick" Abele, who died August 25, 2012 a grandson Michael James Abele; a great-great-grandson; a sister Margie Blasko; a brother Gordon Moe; and a brother-in-law John Blasko.
A graveside service will be held at 11 :00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
