Elsie H. Howells, 87, passed away Aug. 4, 2017. She fought breast cancer for 29 years.
Elsie was preceded in death by two spouses, Alvin Fox and John "Jack" Howells.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Fox) Huerta of League City, Texas, Allen, Ed and Terry Fox, all of Pueblo, Ronnie Fox of Washington State; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Elsie worked at Grove Drug Store, Hobby Horse, and in the Manzanola School District.
She attended USC-Pueblo, and received her master's degree at Adams State.
She was a member of Broadway Christian Church. Elsie was also a member of the teachers union, a quilt club, and an antique car club. She was a member of the Alzheimer's Survivors Group, and volunteered at Sharmar Nursing Home.
Viewing will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Broadway Christian Church.
Interment will follow at Union Highland Cemetery in Florence.
Donations may be made in Elsie's memory to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, in lieu of flowers.
