Mrs. Margaret Hoover Phillips, 71, of Albany died Saturday August 5, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Pastor Doug Haught will be officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Kimbrell-Stern.
Born in Moultrie, GA, Mrs. Phillips retired as a Bus Driver from the Dougherty County School System. Mrs. Phillips and her husband was the owners of Rainbow Carpet Care. She also worked at Carr’s Steak House and Lloyds Fine Foods.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey (Pegie) Phillips; her parents Floyd E. Hoover and Pearl G. Hoover; mother and father in law Eva Phillips and Harvey Phillips; her sister Dorothy D. Bode.
Survivors include her daughter Nelie Perigo and her husband Joey of Albany; two sons Bo Phillips and his wife Joyce of Albany; Marvin Phillips and his wife Wanda of Tallahassee, FL; Her Siblings Floyd Elmer Hoover Jr. and his wife Joanne of Albany; Betty Roe of Albany; Florine Wilson of Albany; Doris Jennings of Albany; Kathy Carmichael of Woodstock, GA; Fran Tabb and her husband Jimmy of Albany; a brother in law Bob Bode of Crystal River, FL; a sister in law Sarah Yanowski of Albany; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
