Services for Eula Mae Gipson, 85, are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Allen Beck will officiate. Burial will follow at Seeley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gipson passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at a local nursing home. She was born April 10, 1932 in Atoka to Main Paul and Ida Moore Williams.
She married Leonard L. Gipson. They were married for 33 years. Mrs. Gipson was a Nurse’s Aide at Brookside Manor and a member of the Caney Hill Methodist Church in Bentley.
Survivors include her children, Carter Gipson and his wife Theresa of Noble, Darrell Gipson and his wife Donna of Byng, Clara Sheffield of Madill and Jon Gipson and his wife Laura of Ada; five grandchildren, Deidre Clark and husband Joe, Ada, Kathleen Badgett and husband Scott, Pottsboro, TX, Shane Sheffield, Sherman, TX, Jessica Sheffield, Plano, TX and Brittany Whartenby and husband Frederick of Byng; seven great-grandchildren, Austin Badgett, Keira Badgett, Aven Sheffield, Addeline Sheffield, Zane Griffin Sheffield, Gabriel “Minko” Clark and Dolly Whartenby; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Kenneth Gipson; two brothers, Albert Williams and Carter Williams; and a sister, Savannah Scott.
Bearers will be Carter Gipson, Darrell Gipson, Jon Gipson, Shane Sheffield and Jessica Sheffield. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Scott, Travis Rollins, Nathan Scott, Martin Scott, Ronnie Scott and Rogers Scott.
