Anita Louise Anthony, 68 year-old resident of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed away August 5, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born October 21, 1948 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Roy Clyde Lookabaugh and Mary Louise (Leonard) Lookabaugh. Anita was a longtime school teacher and taught several elementary school grades. She loved shopping, flowers, cooking, sewing, writing children's books and a novel, being grammatically correct, and especially "Spending Time" with her grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Kevin Grant and 1 brother, Joe Lookabaugh. Survivors include her husband Steve Anthony of the home; 1 daughter, Mae Curtis of Norman, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Parker Dean; Andrew Grant; Sarah Grant; Abigail Grant; and Macey Lyn Curtis; 3 sisters Beverly and her husband Johnny Chronister of Moore, OK; Paula Lookabaugh of Billings, OK; and Cindy and her husband Billy Guinn of El Reno, OK; 1 daughter-in-law Laura and her husband B.J. Bickel of Jones, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73141 with burial to follow at Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, OK.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Waurika, Oklahoma.
