DOVER - Emma Madelyn Munson passed away on Feb. 6. She lived on Union Street in Dover with her son, Randy.
Called Dolly by friends, she grew up in Dover and always had fond memories of her childhood home on Central Avenue. Her parents were Everett and Maura Madelyn Keniston. Dolly had four brothers and four sisters. Her one surviving sister, Karol Beliveau, lives in South Berwick.
Dolly married James Munson of Dover in 1948. Jim served in the Navy and worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. After Jim's retirement, they spent 12 years in Florida until his death in 1984. At that time, Dolly returned to Dover to be with her family. Dolly offered support and companionship to family members throughout the years. She will be remembered for her kindness, devotion and sense of humor.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Nancy Roberts, and her husband Steve Roberts, of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Dolly's son, Randy Munson, lived with his mother and provided her with care and loving attention. Dolly's granddaughter, Amanda Roberts, and her fiance, John Retsos, live in Boston, Mass.
The Tasker Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Per the family's wishes, there will be no visiting hours, services or funeral.
