Alfred Grover Stroud, 81, of 8305 East Gregory, died yesterday at the home. He was born in Corydon, la and lived here 57 years. Mr. Stroud owned Stroud's market 6619 Blue Ridge extension, before retiring in 1954. The market was located at 3600 Indiana 29 years before 1950. He was a member of the Corydon Baptist church. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Opal Stroud of the home; a son Marvin A. Stroud, 4730 Virginia three daughters Mrs. Clelia M Boucher 6528 Ballentine Shawnee Mrs. Betty Watson 6400 Granada Prairie Village and Mrs. Donna Keeton, 11000 East Fifty-seventh Raytown; a sister Mrs. Arlie Leggett, New Strawn, Kas. and 12 grandchildren Services will he held at 3 o'clock Friday at the Floral Hills chapel; burial in Floral Hills cemetery.
