Previously of Dallas, she had lived in Gun Barrel City for the past 38 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City. She owned and operated Dis & Dat Store in Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include her son Erick Thies, Garland; brother Bill Kemp, Dallas; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
