AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP - Private services were held for Norma Jean Ausnehmer, 83, who passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at her home.
Jean was born June 1, 1935, in Youngstown, the daughter of Jesse and Alma Lewis.
She was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, class of 1953, and was a former member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jean loved country line-dancing and gaming.
Her husband, Paul Ausnehmer Sr., whom she married Jan. 29, 1955, passed away in 1984.
Jean leaves two sons, Paul Ausnehmer Jr., with whom she made her home, and David (Patty Jo) Ausnehmer of North Lima; five grandchildren, Megan (Mike), Kelly (Mark), Jared, Abbey, and Tyler; as well as three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Cole, and Luke.
Besides her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Repasky; four brothers; and four sisters. There were no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 4531 Belmont Ave., Unit 9, Youngstown, OH 44505, in Jean’s name.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
