Born 2 May 1917 on a farm south of Albany, Missouri, son of Richard Hammond and Mary Rebecca (Bowman) Hulet who died a few moments after giving birth. Married in 1935 to Clesa DeHart, who survives. Died 30 Aug 1969 at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, aged 52 yrs.

Preceded in death by parents, a brother Reece Hulet and one grandson.

Survived by wife; two sons: Edwin Hulet of Kansas City, Kansas and Jack Hulet of Creston, Iowa; four brothers: George Hulet of Clearwater, Florida, Virgil Hulet of Clinton, Missouri, Richard Hulet of N. Kansas City, Missouri, Lewis Hulet of Rockport, Missouri; two sisters: Mrs. Helen Cassady of Kansas City, Missouri and Mrs. Delores Sylvester of Lee's Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren.

Buried in Grandview Cemetery, Albany, Missouri.
