Mrs. Woodward had six Sons and two Daughters, who all lived to grow up, six of which are now living, but the number of her grand and great grand Children cannot be ascertained at present, as there is many of them at Connecticut, and some at the Eastward, but this we know that there is Thirty-seven of them who are Inhabitants of the Town of Boston. Her first Husband was Mr. James Pierpont of Roxbury, who died 50 years since, and left her with six small Children, whom it is well remembred she used to instructed {sic} in the Ways of Piety and Virtue, and was an Example to Mothers in the religious Education of their Children."
