Keith Maloney Yates, 81, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines in the Pacific Theater during World War II and served in the U.S. Army during the war. Keith was born in the Grand Cayman Islands, West Indies, and was an owner and operator with his brother of Rockmoor Garage Motors Inc. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Leah Johnell Yates; a son, Jerry Yates; and two daughters, Catherine Yates Parrish and Mary E. Yates Codrick. He is also survived by his grandson, Bryce Codrick; and granddaughters, Sarah L. Yates and Taylor Codrick; and his sisters, Valerie Jackson, Linda Bodden, Inez Bodden and Lyra Eubanks; also a brother, Thomas N. Yates. Services held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, Tampa, FL, with the Rev. Jack Graham officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Hill Memorial Gardens.
