Funeral service for Beatrice Bartlett Quinn, age 101, of Decatur, will be Sunday June 25, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.at Shelton Funeral Home with Pastor Royce Teague officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Beatrice Quinn, who passed peacefully into God's arms, June 22, 2017, at Summerford Nursing Home was born May 6, 1916 to William Richard Bartlett and Hamby Drucilla Dye Bartlett. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, Benoni, Otho, Romancil, Grady, William Ernest, Cecil, and Ozer. Three sisters, Ellen Lemley, Icelene Walker and Magnolia Maynard. Her two daughters, Melba Quinn and Daphne Quinn Morgan.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, now known as Rivercity Baptist Church for many years. She served her Lord and family without question. She leaves a lasting legacy to each of us. She found great joy in baking pound cakes and giving them to her friends and family.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Leigh Ingram Wright, Barry (Kathy) Ingram, Pam (Mark) Blankenship, Cole Harris and Patrick Morgan. Four great grandchildren, Josh Reding, Taylor Ingram, Chandler Ingram and Grayson Wright. A host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rivercity Baptist Church, the Beatrice Quinn Memorial fund.
