Mr. Anderson was an engineer for Illinois Centreal Railroad, retiring in 1938.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Marcella) Graves of Sioux City, two granddaughters, and one brother, E.W. Appleton of Waterloo.
His wife Agnes preceded him in death on December 5, 1961.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 3 at 2 p.m. from Boothby Funeral Home with the Rev. A.F. Goldhorn officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
