Francis Neal Smith was born to Joseph Marion Smith and Elizabeth Lewis Smith in Kansas City in 1914. The family later moved to Oklahoma City. He had 3 sons with Bessie Lirely: Neal Norman Smith, Delbert Ray Smith (Robert C Winder), and Robert Clark Smith and one son with Marjorie Burgher: Richard F Smith. He was survived by his son Neal of Poway California and Rick of San Jose, and his wife Marjorie of San Mateo. He died peacefully in his sleep and his ashes were scattered at sea by Neal, Clark, and Rick.
