Eugene D. Reitz, Sr.
Eugene D. Reitz, Sr., 68, of Strattanville, died at 6 am Friday at Clarion Hospital. Mr. Reitz died of natural causes.
Born March 26, 1924, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Walter and Elva E. Myers Reitz.
He married the former Loretta Bobbert on November 1, 1943, and she survives.
Mr. Reitz was a Protestant.
He was self-employed as the owner of Reitz's Radio Shop in Strattanville. He also worked as a sporting good retailer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Albert (Verda) Delp of Bangor, Pa., Mrs. Evelyn Jean Miller of Strattanville and Mrs. (Donna) Carbaugh of Summerville; and two sons, Eugene Reitz Jr. and Terry Reitz, both of Sligo.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lois Schill and Irene Lauer, both of Lucinda; three brothers, Beryl Reitz of Venus, Lee Reitz of Summerville and Dale Reitz of Meadville; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no public visitation, and private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Private interment will be in Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Helpmates of Clarion County.
