David Tackett, age 62, of Huntington, Indiana, passed away Thursday August 17, 2017 at his home.

David was a long-time resident of Huntington he worked as a mechanic in the oil industry.

David was born March 5, 1955, in Albion, Michigan the son Denver and Lula Tackett. He is survived by a son James (Diann) Tackett, and two daughters: Tonya (Jerry) Poole and Trina (James) Jones all of Huntington. He has 12 grandchildren and 3 great grand-children. He also survived by 1 brother Scott (Norma) Tackett of Melvin, Kentucky and two sisters Betty (John) Stewart of Buckingham, Kentucky and Lucille Gayhart of Wheelwright, Kentucky. He was preceded by three brothers Amos, Randall Lynn, Randall (PeeWee) and a sister Mary Tackett.

There will be no visitation or service at this time Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel is entrusted with these arrangements.

Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association c/o Deal-Rice Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.
