Janice Marie Reece was born in Akron, Ohio, on April 18, 1932 - probably at home like most of her siblings. She married George Emerson (b: 09 AUG 1928; d: 20 JUL 2007) on September 9, 1951. Her brother, Vance, says it was the same day as he and Eleanor married. George worked for the railroad as a switch master. George and Janice were divorced on January 6, 1977, having been married 25 years. But they continued to live together until he died and was buried in Burbank Ohio by his family. She lived in Austintown, OH and never re-married.

They had 7 children, the three oldest are buried in the same cemetery as their parents.

She died on March 6, 2015 and was cremated and inurned with her husband, George, in Burbank OH. Matthew W. Conley Funeral Home provided the services.

I have fond memories of her as a very colorful character, especially her job as a go-go dancer and coming to her mom’s funeral in a short black cocktail dress.
