Betty L. Tuxhorn, 41, of Weir, died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept.28, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Regional
Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born June 12, 1962, at Hamilton, Texas, to Clarence Thomas Sr. and Ina Lou (Woolman) Faubion. She moved to the Weir area in 1997. She married James Tuxhorn on Feb. 14, 1998 at Weir. He survives of the home.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Weir.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Amber Speck of Pittsburg; one brother, Clarence Thomas Faubion Jr. of Vinita, Okla.; three sisters, Avis Baldridge, Barbara Allen Nading and Mary Ann Herman, all of Vinita, Okla.; and her stepfather, Charles "Sonny" Speck of Chetopa.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Leroy Faubion.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home at Weir with the Rev. Jamie Tickel officiating. Burial will follow in Hosey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where friends also may call after 10 a.m. Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Weir.
